Guided Meditation: Take 2

During the relaxation exercise, The Crime of the Centruy (click here), that was assigned this week, I felt relaxed at first but towards the end I actually felt a little anxious.  I receive Reiki treatments and have a bit of background with the chakras so I was able to connect with each energy paths as he described them.  I do feel a bit out of balance right now so I'm wondering if that is what brought up my anxiety towards the end. 

I've enjoyed the meditations both weeks.  I am grateful for all moments of peace and healing.  I did enjoy the first weeks better.

    I have never received Reiki treatments, but was intrigued by the concept in my CAM class for my Health and Wellness degree. I do not understand how the whole energy thing works, how the practitioner knows what is what. How long have you been doing this and do you think it helps you? Specifically, were you hoping for a specific outcome?

    What the practitioner feels is very subtle but they can feel the energy whether it is blocked at a certain chakra. If the chakra is open than they move on to the next. I've received treatments for the past few years. It definitely helps me. I started going just for stress relief and grounding however, this year I had some physical problems that I went for and the session really helped. There is actually such a thing as distance Reiki where the practitioner gives a session when the receiver is in a different location. I've had this done to and did feel better after. I think that this is similar to meditating loving-kindness towards another.
